Consultant

Marine Biotech & Seafood consultancy

January 2016 onwards. Key scientific competence within marine biotechnology and seafood science, and general competence within food technology, processing and production. Services included management and administration, evaluation of research applications for funding, supervision of ongoing projects, evaluation of project reports, membership of boards and societies, editorial drafting and scientific presentations.

Primary responsibility working with ERA NETs and other EU supported actions contracted by Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation, and Innovation Fund Denmark. Member of Management Board of Joint Programming Initiative 'Healthy and Productive Seas and Oceans' (JPI Oceans).

Corporate management of Division, focusing on food technology and seafood science, targeting the food industry. Responsibility for management of Division personnel and facilities, which included laboratories, pilot plant and a brewery. International collaboration with main emphasis on EU research collaboration. Innovation experience obtained by handling inventions, patents and spin-outs. Responsible for this activity while at DTU Food.

Coordinator

SEAFOODplus

January 2004 - December 2008 (4 years) Copenhagen, Denmark
One of the larger Integrated Projects supported by the European Commission under the 6th Framework Programme. The consortium consisted of 70 partners from universities, research institutes and industries, particularly SMEs. The total budget was 26 million euros. RTD collaboration was organised in 20 specific project areas covering nutrition, consumer studies, seafood products, aquaculture and traceability.
